Laser treatments
Today’s advanced laser technology allows us to
safely, easily, and effectively treat many tattoos somewhat painlessly, on an
out-patient basis.
How does a laser work?
The laser light beam is able to selectively
target and fragment the tattoo ink without harming the adjacent skin structures.
How many treatments are required?
This depends on the size, location, depth and
color of your tattoo. Most tattoo will require more than one treatment. With
each treatment some of the the tattoo in is broken down and cleared away by your
body. Treatments should be placed 4 to 8 weeks apart to allow your body to
remove the maximum amount of the tattoo ink. You will continue to see a
lightening of your tattoo after each treatment as your body disposes of the
ink..

physician, are safe and effective. There are many benefits to laser surgery
including little if any pain, no needles, less bruising and swelling.
Do treatments for skin lesions hurt?
Patients say they feel a slight sting, like
the snap of a rubber band on the skin, followed by the feeling of sunburn. Most
patient say laser treatments are less painful than the pain associated with
getting the tattoo.
